It's National 211 Day!

It's National 211 Day! California Orange County 211 presents care impact data to greater than 100 CBOs & Government Partners in annual Data Trends meeting." Data driven coordinated care.

I was delighted to attend Orange County United Way’s data trends meeting in Orange County today, and to have participated in the analysis. Nationally, the least privileged in our society, call their Health and Human Services Agencies, their Housing Agency, or other government agencies for help. But they also call 211 – the national number for help and social care support. Over 100 nonprofits nationally run over two hundred 211’s. And United Way run over 150 of those 211’s – including 11 in CA. Driving better care outcomes becomes easier if Government, NPO’s and Health Agencies coordinate and analyse data together.

Elizabeth Andrade, ED at OC211 today, highlighted rapidly rising requests for Food Support, continued rise in Housing Requests, and recognized over 130 CBO’s with over ~500 case managers, for joining the Orange County 211 Digital Coordinated Care Network.

The imminent cuts in 2026 benefits coverage under HR1 will further exacerbate demand on the Not for Profit community. Impact effectivity has to rise in the NPO sector, and sharing data on persons in need, is one way to help enable that.

Made possible by Christopher Ticknor and his Digital Transformation Team at OCUW. Great to see Michael Hunn, CEO of CalOptima Health, supporting all that OC211 is doing, and An Tran, Director of Orange Social Services Agency, speaking as panelist. Fund your local 211 today: https://lnkd.in/gJuKQ-fP.
