Pleased with this NEW milestone of CA DxF driven data interoperability for Coordinated Social Care in Orange County, CA. It’s been a year, since United Ways of California, signed up for a CA state DxF grant to drive better data interoperability between Government, Healthcare organizations and Not for Profits – who combine to use taxpayer dollars wisely and frugally to impact the least privileged. United Way OC 211  have led the pack, in our nine 211 collaborative. Thanks Elizabeth Andrade, MBA and Christopher Ticknor. Lightning Step Technologies – thanks Martin Ignatovski, Ph.D. – and HHCA thanks Heather and Burley – who have worked with our distributed United Ways teams across UWOC and UWCA to accomplish this “DxF reference implementation."

From concept to code in under one year...a classic “Amazonian” test of fast innovation with small teams. Now we have a United Ways CA Data Gateway! With insight from the participation of many others, including all the state convener work done by Timi Leslie at BluePath Health, the HHS group led by Dr. Sophia Chang, and many other "great insight" contributors such as Robert Cothren. One of our DxF Taskforces – Consent – which I sat on and Robert ran – has reps from 20+ organizations including Kaiser Permanente, Blue Shield of California and multiple HHS departments in California. 740 Grantees and 4,000 signatory organizations signed up for greater Whole Person Health Data Interoperability. It’s hard to be healthy, if you are unhoused! Help fund this United Way work at this link: https://unitedwaysca.org/donate-data-exchange.
