Great Source of Insight from UCLA on Being a Board Director in the Global 2025 Economy

Recently enjoyed some great learnings at UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, on their Corporate Governance course for Board of Directors. Even as a semi retiree, continuous learning is good for one’s mental growth. Enjoyed learning from the deeply insightful Professor Carla Hayne, the amazing 4 decade wisdom of Professor-Emeritus Alfred E. Osborne, Jr., who has sat on 23 public boards, and the passionate climate data expert Magali Demas, and several others.
I left with a deeper and broader respect for the duty of a board member. Two of the case studies were particularly instructive. Met some very interesting people from all over the world, Middle East to Australia, East Coast to West Coast and Latin America. Strongly recommend it for anyone sitting on a board and contemplating more board seats. A great use of 4 days. Intellectually very stimulating. Lots more to now research, learn and practice.
